Does looking good make you lose weight?

\"\"I often hear my clients complain about how \”fat\” they are, using very negative and harsh words to describe their bodies. And I usually tell them: \”Stooop!\”

You don\’t like your weight? Fine! You would like to lose weight to feel better in your skin? Fine! However there is no need to insult your body. And don\’t allow anyone to do so.  Treat yourself with care and respect. That\’s the first step to being healthier and feeling better.

Wearing oversized and unshapely clothes is also not the best solution after gaining weight. On the contrary, it makes you miserable, reduces your sense of self worth and maintains the vicious circle of negativity and bad eating. Some you think that dressing your body today and allowing yourselves to look good is being complaisant but, really, what good does it do to you waking up every morning and feeling bad about your appearance?

Obviously, if you are improving your diet or working with a trainer to lose weight, you don\’t want to invest in a whole new wardrobe but you still need to dress in a way that uplifts you regardless of your shape. It will remove the daily frustration of having nothing to wear and bring a positive energy in your routine. Ultimately, the process of getting healthier will be supported.

Invest in few pieces that will carry you for the next 6 months:

  • 1 dress
  • 3/4 tops
  • 2 pants
  • 2 cardigans

Make sure those pieces fit you well: great fit creates a more flattering look. Mix and match them to increase your outfit options and have fun with your curvilicious wardrobe until you get to your healthy point.
