Goddess doesn\’t age: this is what 51 looks like

\"photo\"A couple of months ago, my friend Khadra (the same one who strongly suggested I offer my styling expertise in Dubai) saw a picture of me 7 years ago and she said: \”Giiiiirl, you look so much better now!!!\” I laughed and I had to agree.

Turning 35 and loving it

A lot of women are terrified of ageing… And they see the years passing by as a struggle, a fatality, a curse… I turned 35 last May and never felt so good in my skin… I don\’t miss my 20s. The way I looked. Who I was. Where I was. I make the most of the NOW. I take every opportunity to learn, expand and to savor life.

For me ageing = finding myself = blossoming. And I am hoping that more women experience it this way.

Maybe I have a little more belly, maybe my grey hair are multiplying and maybe it takes me a little longer to recover after a night out… But I am happier, brighter and stronger… Everyday I learn a little more about myself, about love, about life and about living consciously.

\”This what 51 looks like\”

In February 2012, I attended a 4-day retreat organised by S Factor, my dance studio in the US, and one of the women in my group was the most stunning Goddess I have ever seen. A soulful dancer. A badass swan with a beautiful heart. A master on the pole. We called her the Black Swan. She was unbelievable. Few weeks after the retreat, she posted a picture on the retreat page and the caption was \”This is what 51 looks like.\” I loved it!! This is the picture above. Pretty stunning, right?

When I was living in NY, I loved trying to guess the woman\’s age after one of the ladies told me she was 50 and I thought she was 38. And I would always lose at that game!! So many of them were in their 50s but they looked like like they were in their late 30s. Maybe because, through sensual feminine movement, they kept their spirit young, their body alive, their emotional life rich. Amazing women. Vibrant proof that age is just a number…

What\’s your choice?

Anything that we experience in life, we have a choice to make it a positive adventure and an opportunity to blossom or be a victim. See the beauty, feel the LOVE or allow FEAR to consume you. So we are back to it: Love vs Fear. What would be your choice?
